At Birmingham Eastside we are continuing to experiment with 360-degree video and virtual reality. Using 360-degree video is a great way to capture the legacy of events and news stories allowing viewers to relive moments that they might not have been able to attend as if they were there. It also provides the ability to relive memories of events or experiences they might have attended and are wanting to revisit.
A few weeks ago, Birmingham Eastside Tech visited the 50th anniversary of the Birmingham Frankfurt german market and set out to capture the sights and sounds of one of Birmingham’s biggest yearly events. The videos below allows you to relive the atmosphere as we take a natural walk through the market. Please feel free to stop the video at any point and look around at your surroundings.
These videos are compatible with most VR headsets, Google cardboard and any device that supports playback of 360-degree video including mobile phones and tablets.
